Biography

Maya is a London-based actress, singer, dancer, and writer. She fell in love with being on stage at a young age. Pre-professionally, she pursued acting training with Denise Simon and vocal coaching with Monica Robinson. She also previously trained in various dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, and more at Breaking Ground Dance Center in Westchester. Maya recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she studied Theater, Creative Writing, and Gender Studies. She has continued her training in New York City, both through NYU and privately with Jillian Laurain (voice). Maya has recently performed in Zombie Prom as Candy and performed in a solo show called "If They Could See Me Now" at Don't Tell Mama on June 17, 2023.

In addition to her love of theatre, Maya also has deep-rooted passions for literature, writing, and gender studies. A lifelong bookworm, she decided to try her hand at writing in college and fell in love with journalism.

When she's not performing or writing, you can find Maya playing guitar, watching period pieces, and looking for new fusion restaurants to try. She is a cat mom, an English literature nerd, and a Stevie Nicks wannabe.
